As we
approached Fernandina Beach, we heard the announcement that there will be the boat parade. One of the fishing was all decked out for the occasion. There was also b Star Cruise ship anchored for the day as well. Unfortunately, the heavy storm clouds were quickly approaching.
For
the past couple of hours, notice to mariners was being broadcast on 16
regarding the Green 35 being off position in the Jekyll Sound. As we passed it,
we noticed that it was off position by about 300 yards and into the shallows.
Must have been dragged by a barge.
At Jekyll Island Marina, we topped
off the fuel tanks before tying off for the night. The storms had passed. Once secured at our dock, we opted to grab
dinner at the restaurant on site. We
enjoyed out meal and made it an early night.
