Doing our Duty

We slept 15+ hours. The cruise dictator deemed at 0900 we would depart for the Immigration Office in Jacksonville.  Unfortunately, the St. Augustine’s office is closed on Wednesday and Thursday. So off to Jacksonville we go. The six of us walk in and fill up the office as there is already one person already awaiting processing.  They actually call for assistance from another office.  The computers were twitchy, so it took us the better part of an hour and a half to clear all three boats. Surprisingly, were not asked about any purchases nor fruits and vegetables. We actually received a “frequent flier” card, which enables us to call in to a Florida number and clear immigration via phone, providing there are no changes in our documents.

Then it was on to FedEX and then Panera Bread for lunch. . .Yum!  We came back to the marina.  Pete had work to do and I unfortunately had a migraine so I went to lie down while Martha and Betty went to Publix.   Our “Q” flag is now down.
We headed over to Jay and Pegg’s for dinner at 5:30, where we joined Mrs. Bliss, Dan's Aunt, Cousin Andy, and friends Debbie and Erin for some great food and off course conversation.
Well, tomorrow is another busy day of house cleaning chores.  Even with the 15+hours of sleep, we are still bone tired, so good night all.
