Errands, Repairs and Stuff

Camanchee Marina
The 'possible' rains came over night and the clouds cleared during the morning.  However, the winds howled around the marina and the Upper Peninsula all day.  We were the lucky ones.  The Central and the Mid-Atlantic States were battered by horrific storms including tornados. Thankfully, no one we knew was affected by the storms and we were safe and sound in the marina.
We were on the dock with the big
fishing boats.
Jay and Pegg let us and Andiamo use of one of their cars so we could run errands today. John and Pete went to Sailor’s Exchange, West Marine and Home Depot.  Next, Pete was able to find a barber for a well needed hair cut, and then he handed off the keys to Betty.  She needs some items from Publix and hopefully a haircut, too.
I spent the morning posting the past eight days to the blog, so I am caught up!  Now we need to get ready to head out tomorrow.
Pete found that our head  was never secured.  We always found it rocked, which was unnerving. While crossing the Gulf Stream, we thought we had sheared a bolt.  Pete found that there was no bolt to shear.  He just secured the “throne” and we now can sit securely in the future!
Betty and John
Since Martha and Dan were having a final dinner with Jay and Pegg, we joined Betty and John and returned back to the Kingfish Grill for another delicious meal.
A pretty sky after a wonderful dinner at the marina.

Jay and Pegg stopped by and wished us a fond farewell.  We look forward to seeing them up in our neck of the waters this summer.  Jay plans on bringing up Haiku, his beautiful homemade wooden boat to the Chesapeake this summer/fall. It has been wonderful spending time and getting to know Jay, Pegg and Mrs. Bliss.  We definitely look forward to our paths crossing again.
