Refrigerator, Fuel and Shells, What a Day!

I thought a lot about it overnight and since the temps didn’t fall by morning, so I defrosted refrigerator/freezer this morning.  This time we used ice in zip-lock bags to help cool down the refrigerator as well as the freezer. Thankfully, we had room in the portable freezer for the remaining frozen items.  I just have bags of ice cubes in the freezer now.  I don’t want to have to worry about them defrosting if there is a problem.
After topping off our water for the last time in the Bahamas, we were the last to leave the dock and headed over to the marina across the way to do the final top for fuel. As we completed our transaction, we found out that he was closing the dock at noon on a Saturday because he was the musician at his niece’s’ party.  We must be in the islands!

We continued our way north to anchor at Powell Cay.  After Dan checked and approved our anchoring, we headed around the island to do some shelling in bay with view of High and Soldier and Bonefish Cays. We came away with a lot of shells, many I have never seen before.
Once back at the boat, Pete wanted to cool off, so he went into the water for about a half an hour while I cleaned my shells and made dinner. It was wonderful to see the shells and sea stars below the boat. I just could not get a good picture due to the movement on the surface of the water.

After dinner we teased Martha as we watched the sun set and she heralded the sunset with her new conch horn. Then we read and watched the stars emerge in all their brilliance. This can’t be coming to an end, can it?
