Sale Today!!!

The roosters announced morning at 4:15, 4:30 5:10, 5:30 AM . . . in paradise.  Apparently, they haven’t been trained to tell time.
This is how Pekabu looked in a much less occupied marina yesterday.

In between all the chores, there were numerous interruptions – all good ones, I can assure you, I was able to meet a number of our new neighbors.  Harold is the captain of Bandit, the Hatteras 80 footer that is docked at the head of our dock. He was up bright and early getting things ready for the family on board. The owners, Kathy and her husband, are down from North Carolina with their 2 college age kids and 3 of their kids friends for Spring Break.  They headed out to Big Majors Cay later in the afternoon.  Across the dock from us are Kay and Tommy, aboard Jubilee, in the beautiful Passport I fell in love with at the Annapolis Boat Show 2 years ago. (That’s when they took delivery so I wonder if it was the same boat?) As it turns out, we have been traveling very close together since we made the crossing. They remembered our very distinctive name.
We decided to have lunch together at the restaurant.  Kathy joined us as her “crew” had not yet returned from their fishing expedition.  However, the service was still on ‘”island time,” so she begged off after about a half hour and returned to her boat.  The rest of us hung together, enjoyed the company, really good sliders, chicken quesadas and mediocre service for two and a half hours. The word came from the Chef that he apologized for the service and picked up the tab for the meal and drinks.  Our server was literally just started and the restaurant is usually never this busy.
After lunch it was back to work until dinner.  After dinner I tried to log into the internet, but everyone is having problems, so I just wrote up the notes.
A busy, but really nice day in paradise with new and old friends.
