Early Wake-up and Photo Ops

We were all up and ready to meet the cart at 4:45 AM, but he didn’t show.  Ann and Howie started to walk.  We found out later, the cart never showed, and neither did the taxi he arranged.  Howie had to walk all the way up to the Coral Hotel for a taxi. Then once at the airport, they waited for a delayed flight.  Hopefully, the memories of the past three days will outweigh the nightmare of this morning.
After catching a few more zzzz’s, we greeted Andiamo, when they arrived. Today is the day I had to defrost the fridge/ freezer. After lunch, we tried to meet up with Betty and John by the Water Park, but weren’t successful. When we returned, the four of us decided to catch dinner up at Murray’s Deli and had a great meal.
The southern inner harbor at twilight.
I had brought along the camera for some night shots of the harbor. With all those big boats, including the 200 foot Jean Marie II and Magic, I wanted to make sure I could capture it from above.  We were able to do so from the balcony of the Royal Towers. Betty was disappointed that she didn’t have her camera, but we assured her we could do it again tomorrow night.

I love the shapes, textures and lighting. The wind made  these very difficult to take due to the long exposure times.
My favorite of the evening!
On our walk back, we all agreed that this was a really great place to visit.  Even with all the people who are here, it doesn’t feel crowded, except for trying to get dinner reservations. Everything is spread out and the staff is very personable.  It really is a great destination place.
